First off, this blog has been largely inspired by the wonderful work of Altaira North and her vegan-oriented cooking blog "Fork and Knife" (http://fork-and-knife.blogspot.com). Her beautiful photos are so good that they make vegan cooking actually look tasty!

I have to jet to the movies right now (they're playing Thomas Crown Affair at the Astoria), but soon there will be some blogs regarding Temple curry, dumpster diving, chinatown grocery shopping, and all kinds of wonderful DTES culinary traditions. My composition skills are rusty, but I hope that you'll enjoy the anecdotes.
